I would say that my style of music comes under the genre of ‘neo-soul’. I write to hip-hop beats or ambient drum and bass; although my voice is probably more suited to jazz or swing! I’d like to say that I can adapt to most styles of music. I’d definitely give anything a go.
Can you give a brief history of your music journey so far?
I have always been a keen singer and songwriter. My dad is a saxophonist and my grandfather made steel pans in Trinidad. Music is in my blood. It’s only recently that I have decided to dedicate myself to my own music, and really push my sound out. I have been gathering different beats from producers and working with different musicians and I’ve had an amazing response. I’ve been writing songs for projects happening in Nottingham, and I’m starting to perform more and more around the city. My music journey is a whole lot of fun at the minute.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently working with a few other artists from Nottingham on a collaboration album due to be released this year. I am also working on my own music that I’m getting recorded as a solo project. I’m trying to be as productive as possible.
